GREENSBURG, PA, Thursday, November 9, 2017 – The Westmoreland Museum of American Art will host a free Family Day with entertainment and activities for visitors of all ages on Saturday, November 25 from 11am-3pm. The event is presented in partnership with the Westmoreland Library Network and is sponsored by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and the Jack Buncher Foundation.
During Family Day, visitors will have the opportunity to engage in a Museum scavenger hunt, complete creative art projects and enjoy special performances by Stage Right! Sensations and actor Tim Hartman as Joe Magarac, Man of Steel.
“The Westmoreland is looking forward to having the community join us for our fall Family Day,” Director of Education and Visitor Engagement Joan McGarry said. “We’re excited to be collaborating with the Westmoreland Library Network, who will be presenting three projects related to literary arts during the event.”
“We are very pleased to partner with The Westmoreland Museum of American Art on Family Day, giving library patrons an opportunity to visit and enjoy one of our County’s best institutions,” Westmoreland Library Network Executive Director Cesare Muccari said.
Family Day at The Westmoreland is held biannually, occurring once in the spring and again in the fall on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
