Digital Membership FAQ

What is a digital membership card and what are the benefits?

The Westmoreland is proud to offer an opt-in digital membership program to our members. With a digital membership, your membership card is stored on your smartphone. As long as you have your phone with you, you have your membership card, so there is no worry about losing or misplacing your card. You can even receive notifications about member events directly to your phone. A digital card is not only convenient for our members, but it allows the Museum to save on paper and plastic usage.

What are the requirements for a digital membership card?

To be able to receive a digital membership card, the ability to receive email on a smartphone (iPhone or Android) is required.

How is the membership card delivered?

You will receive a link to download the card to the email address you provided within a week after you submit your membership form.

It’s been over a week since I signed up and I still haven’t received my email containing my membership card.

Check in your spam folder. Some email settings may send the email containing your card to the spam folder. If you still have not received your email, please contact the Membership Department (see contact information below).

How do I add the membership card to my iPhone?

Access the email from your smartphone and click the “Download” button, then click “Add to Wallet” and “Add.” The card will automatically go to your iPhone’s Apple Wallet. It can be accessed in Wallet at any time.

How do I add the membership card to my Android phone?

Android users need to download Wallet Passes from Google Play. After you have the app, access the email from your smartphone and click “Download” in the membership email, and the card will automatically go to your Wallet Passes app, where it can be accessed at any time.

I downloaded my card but I can’t find it.

If you have an iPhone, the card will automatically download to Apple Wallet. Check the app for your new card (scroll through any cards that are already there–it may be hiding!). If you have an Android, you’ll need to download Wallet Passes from the Play Store prior to downloading the card.

I don’t have a mobile phone, what can I do?

We are continuing to provide physical cards. Please see contact information for the Membership Department below.

I have a question about my membership benefits.

Please see contact information for the Membership Department below.

My name is spelled wrong/membership level is incorrect.

Please see contact information for the Membership Department below.

How will my NARM benefits work with a digital card?

As a Best Friend member of above, you receive reciprocal benefits to other museums as part of the North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Association. This will not change with a digital card. The digital card will display a NARM Badge that will indicate your participation. For more information about NARM and all participating museums, visit narmassociation.org.

My family member is on this membership account also, how can she/he receive the card?

Navigate to the back of the card (click the small “i” on the front) and use the “Share Pass” button to send the card to your secondary member.
