Art as Fashion: A Behind-the-Scenes View of the Met Gala and The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Anna Wintour Costume Center

  • Time: 6:30–10 pm

Featured Guest Clyde B. Jones III
Senior Vice President for Institutional Advancement
at The Metropolitan Museum of Art

You are invited to a Red Carpet Cocktail Party at The Westmoreland.

Clyde Jones and his Development staff plan the famous Met Gala. They oversee an army of designers, event planners, caterers, florists and media and security specialists, who make “The Party of the Year” a reality each spring.

Under Vogue Editor Anna Wintour’s watchful eye, the Met Gala hosts top names in fashion, entertainment and sports from across the globe. The gala supports the Anna Wintour Costume Center, a spectacular collection of nearly 50,000 garments from the 18th century to present.

This cocktail attire evening—limited to 125 guests—will give you an inside view of the spectacular Met Gala.

  • The evening begins with elegant hors d’ oeuvres, cocktails, music and Red Carpet creations by Seton Hill Art and Fashion students.
  • Next, move into the Community Room for an exclusive presentation and questions on the Met Gala by Mr. Jones.
  • Afterward, guests will enjoy dessert and music and have an opportunity to meet Mr. Jones.

Art as Fashion is sponsored by The Committee for The Westmoreland and supports the Museum’s Educational Programming.
