In conjunction with the featured exhibition African American Art in the 20th Century, The Westmoreland presents a first-ever film series featuring works by the unsung pioneers of early African American Cinema. After each film, stay and join in on the conversation with a facilitated discussion.
Ken Nicholson, Film Studies and Art Instructor at University of Pitt-Greensburg and Westmoreland County Community College, and Joe Lewis, Director of Advertising/Marketing Director for the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival and Founder/Director of the Black Bottom Film Festival presented by the August Wilson African American Cultural Center, will be facilitating this film series event
