Take an up close and personal view of the amazing glass works in the Museum’s newest collection of contemporary art. Amy Morgan will lead a gallery tour of the beautiful glass sculptures and objects in the exhibition All About Color and Geometry: Selections from the Diana and Peter Jannetta Collection and discuss the significant place that this work holds in the national art glass movement.
Amy Morgan is the owner and director of Morgan Contemporary Glass Gallery in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh, the region’s first gallery devoted exclusively to exhibiting studio glass. She has served as a juror for many local and national glass awards, and has been a speaker and panel member for numerous arts organizations including Glass Art Society, the International Flameworking Conference and the National Art Appraisers. A past board member of The Society for Contemporary Craft and a founding board member of The Pittsburgh Glass Center, she is also a former board member of, and advisor to the Creative Glass Center of America, a member of the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass, and the Glass Art Society.
