Nicole Czapinski investigates illusions within perception and the complexities of consciousness, transforming something that first reads as a flat surface into something with volume and depth.
Her exhibition title, an illusionary pain in a nonexistent hand, is text compiled from Phantoms in the Brain: Probing the Mysteries of the Human Mind, by VS Ramachandran and Sandra Blakeslee.
