Name the Dog – Say hello to “Winslow”!
And the Winner is…. Winslow!
Update April 12, 2024:
Say hello “Winslow”! You voted and chose your favorite name for the Museum’s favorite dog. The name “Winslow” (in honor of American artist Winslow Homer) was a hot contender right from the start of voting, going all the way to the Top 2 in a match-up against “Beau” (in honor of the stylish bow the dog is wearing). Voting was nose-to-nose for the final round, and it was a claw-biter right until the end, but Winslow edged out Beau to win it all!
Want to “meet” Winslow in person? White Dog Standing on Victorian Sofa is currently on display in the Cantilever Gallery as part of 65 Artists, 65 Years: An Anniversary Exhibition through September 8, 2024.
How to Vote – NOW CLOSED
In the spirit of the March Madness, staff members suggested names for the Museum’s unofficial mascot, and we’re asking you to vote for your favorite. Help us name our dog!
Starting with the “Sweet 16” on Thursday, March 28, you can vote for your favorite name in a series of nose-to-nose match-ups. Visit the Museum’s Instagram page and look in our Stories to vote. Everyone who votes via Instagram Stories will receive one entry for a random drawing to win a tote bag from the Museum Shop, which can be picked up at the Museum or mailed to the winner (within the U.S.).
