GREENSBURG, PA, Friday, March 4, 2016 – Rivertowne Brewing is proud to sponsor The Westmoreland Museum of American Art’s opening reception for Telling Tales: Stories and Legends in 19th-century American Art. This in-kind sponsorship of craft beer will serve not only as a refreshment offering at the March 5th exhibition opening from 6:30-8pm, but the empty cans will be upcycled after the event at the Museum’s April Pop-Up Studio. In this upcoming studio hosted by artist Paula Schutte participants will manipulate metal, twist wire, bend, cut, fold, and pound aluminum cans to create their own Alexander Calder-inspired bird in flight. This upcycling of materials adheres to both the Brewery’s and Museum’s mission of green operations.
