Family-friendly Event to Celebrate the Legacy of MLK Jr.

Monday, January 20th
10am–3pm

Join us for a special celebration of Dr. King’s life and legacy, presented in partnership with the Westmoreland Diversity Coalition.

  • Unity Candle Lighting: Representatives from organizations across Westmoreland County will participate in this symbolic ceremony.
  • Live Performances: Enjoy inspiring performances throughout the Museum.
  • Community Partner Tables: Connect with local organizations making a positive impact.
  • Art & Activities for All Ages:
    > Contribute to a community mural celebrating Dr. King’s message.
    > Take part in the “Letters of Hope” project by creating cards and/or letters.
    > Children’s Storytime: Enjoy curated book readings by University of Pittsburgh Greensburg students.
