The Winter Tales immersive experience is back by popular demand! With returning visitor favorites and beautiful new scenes, the McKenna Gallery is transformed into a sensory journey through a magical winter world.
Created by award-winning OLO Creative Farm, this one-of-a-kind installation brings to life stunning works from The Westmoreland’s collection using multi-projection, surround sound, and delicate animated effects like mist, falling snow, and glistening frost. Visitors will feel as though they’ve stepped inside the paintings, surrounded by winter landscapes from Greensburg, Pittsburgh, the countryside, and beyond.
Winter Wonderland

Celebrate the winter season ahead! Delight in festive lights, live performances, and interactive demos throughout the evening. Step inside to be wowed by Winter Tales, a captivating immersive experience back by popular demand, bringing works of art to life through largescale projection, music, and sound effects. Enjoy specialty drinks from the cash bar and hands-on art activities for all ages during this magical winter celebration.
Winter Nights
Fridays, November 20 – January 15 (5-8pm)* | Free
Enjoy a magical Winter Night at the Museum as you explore the Winter Tales immersive experience that brings winter-inspired artworks to life. Warm up with a complimentary seasonal hot beverage, specialty drinks at the cash bar, and fun art-making activities.
* Please note that the Museum opens at 12pm on these dates and is closed December 25 and January 1.
