Sunday Fun Day: Art in Play

Fun event for the whole family!

Sunday, August 16
10am-3pm

Join us for a sports-themed Sunday Fun Day as the Museum comes alive with creativity and play!

Enjoy music and interactive games by Savvy Sounds, baseball card–style caricature drawings, a special pop-up experience from the Clemente Museum, art-inspired mini golf in Putt-a-palooza*, the Play Ball! exhibition, a live performance by the Pittsburgh Steeline, and a community sports memorabilia showcase.

Dick’s House of Sports will be on site with fun giveaways, promotional items, and an interactive cornhole activity. Don’t miss special appearances by Iceburgh, the Pittsburgh Penguins mascot and the Seton Hill University Griffin.  Plus, enter for a chance to win tickets to a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game! Perfect for all ages, this event invites families, sports fans, and art lovers to play, explore, and celebrate the creative side of sports.

*Putt-a-palooza is free during this event with limited capacity.

SCHEDULE

10am–3pm (Ongoing Activities)
  • Snap a photo with Iceburgh, the Pittsburgh Penguins mascot.
  • Stop by the Dick’s House of Sport area for fun giveaways and activities. 
  • Dance, play, and enjoy live music with Savvy Sounds.
  • Explore a special pop-up experience from the Clemente Museum.
  • Putt your way through art-inspired mini golf in Putt-a-palooza.
  • Design your own baseball in the Play Ball! exhibition.
Scheduled Events 
  • 10am–2pm | Baseball card–style Caricature Drawings
    • Enjoy a free baseball card–style caricature drawings by artist and former Blue Jays player Jim Kanfoush.
  • 10am–1pm | Sports Memorabilia Showcase
    • Discover sports history through a community memorabilia showcase in partnership with oneBURGH.
  • 1–2pm | Pittsburgh Steeline Performance
    • Experience the energy, rhythm, and excitement of Pittsburgh’s own drumline with a high-impact performance that celebrates the passion and community of sports.
