Enjoy a day of fun activities, entertainment, and a showcase of woman-owned businesses. From interactive art projects to performances, we’ll honor the creativity, resilience, and achievements of women in arts and culture.

 

ONGOING ACTIVITIES (10am–3pm)
  • Pop-Up Market – Shop Djoi Designs, a woman-owned handcrafted leather handbag and jewelry company.
  • She Creates: Artist Spotlight – Experience live art in action as four talented local women artists demonstrate their creative process. Visit each station to see their work come to life and gain insight into their artistic techniques and inspiration.
  • Celebration of Her Cards – Get creative with hands-on art activities designed for all ages, including a personalized postcard activity to celebrate a woman you appreciate.
  • Women-Owned Food Vendors – Savor delicious offerings from local women-owned food businesses.
  • Community Partner Table – Connect with the Westmoreland YWCA and learn about their impactful work in the community.
     
ACTIVITY SCHEDULE
  • Live Indie Folk Music (10am–2pm)
    • Wander the second-floor galleries while enjoying live music inspired by women artists, performed by The Evergreens, an indie folk duo from Johnstown, PA.
  • Chorus & Canvas (11am–12pm)
    • Experience a captivating live performance by an all-female chorus from C.P. Music Instruction alongside a live painting session with artist Nirvana Crystal. Plus, don’t miss the chance to win the completed work after the performance!
  • Breaking Barriers: A Talk with Lillie Leonardi (12:30-1:15pm)
    • Join us for a captivating talk with Lillie Leonardi as she shares excerpts from her book In the Shadow of a Badge and reflects on her career in the FBI and her journey as the first female police officer in the City of Arnold.
  • Live Music Performance (1:30–2pm)
    • Enjoy a live music performance by flutist and author Gemma Stemley.
  • Choreopoem Performance (2:15–2:45pm)
    • Experience a live choreopoem performance by Monica Prince, activist and performance writer, scholar, and author.
