Festive Community Event & Opening Night of Winter Lights

Celebrate the start of the season with the opening night of Winter Lights! Enjoy sparkling outdoor light displays, live performances, and interactive demonstrations. This year, step inside the Museum to experience Winter Tales, a new immersive installation. Savor festive snacks from local food vendors and specialty drinks at the cash bar. Take part in hands-on art activities and enjoy special entertainment for all ages during this magical winter evening.

• Experience the flavors of our food trucks | South Parking Lot
  Enjoy a variety of food and treats available from local vendors throughout the day. 
• Roasted Marshmallow Station | South Parking Lot
  Pick up a bag of marshmallows to roast in outdoor pits located in the South parking lot.
• Winter Art-Making Activity | Paul and Carol Evanson Community Room 
  Create or take home a festive winter-themed art project.
• Cash Bar | Atrium
  Grab a refreshment at our cash bar including our signature winter cocktail.
• Savvy Sounds | Swank Terrace
  Enjoy holiday tunes and timed games with Savvy Sounds spinning all evening.
• Photo Op| Lobby
  Strike a pose at our Winter Wonderland-themed step-and-repeat, complete with festive balloons, and capture fun, memorable photos!
• Winter Tales Immersive| McKenna Gallery 
  Winter Tales transforms the McKenna Gallery into a magical winter scene, letting visitors step inside paintings and experience snowy landscapes from Greensburg and Pittsburgh.

Scheduled Activities

• 6-8pm: Live Ice Carving Demonstration – Watch Ice Creations bring a masterpiece to life.
• 6-8pm: Roaming Carolers – Enjoy holiday tunes from roaming carolers with C.P. Music Instruction, starting in the Cantilever Gallery on the 2nd Floor.
• 6-8pm: Free Face Painting – Get festive designs by artists Denise Kubina and Larry Bielawski.
• 6:30–7pm & 7:30–8pm – Don’t miss Flow N’at’s high-energy fire and flow performance with dazzling props.
