Annie Urban Joins The Westmoreland in New Leadership RoleOverseeing Development and External Affairs

GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania (April 29, 2025) —The Westmoreland Museum of American Art is pleased to announce the appointment of Annie Urban as the Museum’s Deputy Director, Development & External Affairs. A dynamic, mission-focused leader with extensive experience in relationship-building, fundraising, marketing, and management, Urban joins The Westmoreland’s senior leadership team in this new role to oversee fundraising efforts and external affairs.

“I am deeply honored to become part of a team so committed to the Museum’s mission of offering meaningful and engaging cultural experiences that build community and inspire creativity,” said Urban. “I look forward to working collaboratively with the talented staff to lead strategic fundraising and external affairs initiatives that will ensure a vibrant, sustainable future for the Museum.”

Most recently, Urban served as Executive Director of Principal Gifts & Community Engagement at her alma mater, Seton Hill University. Her previous work experience includes serving as Executive Director of Fort Ligonier and holding various management positions in our region’s hotel and tourism industry. Active in the local community, Urban currently serves as President of the Greensburg Community Development Corporation, on the Advisory Board of the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County, and as a member of the Rotary Club of Greensburg. She is a Past President of the Ligonier Valley Endowment Board of Governors and the YWCA of Westmoreland Board of Directors. Additionally, she is a past recipient of Seton Hill’s Distinguished Alumni Award for Service and the Boy Scouts of America Citizen of the Year Award.
