GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania (February 28, 2024) – The Westmoreland Museum of American Art welcomes the start of spring by presenting Art in Bloom from Thursday, March 21 through Sunday, March 24, 2024. During these four days, visitors will delight in imaginative floral compositions displayed throughout the galleries and inspired by works of art from the Museum’s collection. Local florists and floral designers, 20 in total, are lending their talents to create the artistic arrangements. Prizes, including Director’s Choice and People’s Choice, will be awarded to the most outstanding displays.
“We are excited to bring Art in Bloom back to the Museum after a long hiatus and provide an enhanced experience for our visitors across these four days that will appeal to both lovers of art and nature,” commented The Richard M. Scaife Director/CEO Silvia Filippini-Fantoni, PhD.
In addition to the floral displays, Art in Bloom will feature a series of special programs designed to engage and inspire audiences of all ages.
